Formation is a life-long journey. Each day, each moment of our life, we are learning and growing. A candidate entering our religious community will begin a formation program that will be intense for the next three years. But religious formation does not end with the profession of vows. Formation is for life.
Postulancy
This process lasts from six months to one year. In this stage, the candidate is gradually initiated into religious life.
Novitiate
This process last for two years. In the first year, the Novice deepens her prayer life and studies the Franciscan Rule and Constitutions. In the second year, she is sent on mission and then returns to the Novitiate where she prepares for her First Profession.
Temporary Professed
This process last for five years. The sister lives her life as a professed sister and deepens her religious life according to the spirit of our community. The sister also begins her work or studies.
Ongoing Formation
Formation does not end when the sister makes her Final Profession of Vows. Each sister strives to grow in her knowledge of our Lord, of our way of life and of our Catholic faith throughout her entire life.
