Through our vows of Chastity, Poverty, and Obedience, we consecrate our lives to God. We set our lives apart for God forever.
In Chastity, we say "Yes" to consecrated celibacy and "Yes" to loving God with an undivided heart. In the words of the Song of Songs, we know....."We have found him whom our heart loves."
In Chastity, we seek..... -- to have an intimate relationship with our God. -- to love as Jesus did, without conditions. -- to sacrifice as Jesus sacrificed.
In Poverty, we choose God as the "riches" of our life. We seek to live according to the words of St. Francis...... "You are all our riches. You are enough for us."
InPoverty, we are called to freely embrace simplicity in our lifestyle. We choose: -- to live in joyful dependence on our Father for our needs. -- to live detached from possessions in our use. -- to live in a spirit of gratitude. -- to share generously with those in need. -- to welcome opportunities to serve the poor.
In obedience, we seek to surrender to God's will as Jesus did....."I come to do Your will." (Hb. 10:7)
In fact, "Jesus was obedient unto death..." Through this obedience, Jesus accomplished the mission given to Him by the Father.
Through our obedience, we endeavor to accomplish the mission God has for us.
We discern God's will for us when we ..... -- believe that God's will is mediated to us through the Church, our Rule of Life & constitutions, Scripture, our leadership and sisters in community. -- have open and loving hearts.
